Dear Parents,
Welcome to the 2011 -2012 school year at St. John’s! The Christian Education Society (CES) strives to serve our Lord by fostering a strong relationship between our pastors, teachers and families and to aid the spiritual and physical growth of St. John's Lutheran School by bringing you and your children events that promote fun, fellowship, and learning throughout the year.
We have already begun planning this year’s events which feature some favorites of years past like the Welcome Back to School Potluck, Fall Festival, Spirit Week, and Discovery Day.
CES is a great way for you to get involved at St. Johns, get to know other parents and put your time and talents to use serving the Lord. We urge you to prayerfully consider how you can contribute to our mission as an event volunteer or even as a regular member of our CES Committee. Volunteers are always needed for our events throughout the school year in a variety of capacities. Notices of these opportunities can be found at the CES display on Registration Day, posted in the Crusader Chronicle, and through notes sent home with your children.
We also encourage you to share your ideas for events or improvements you may have with a CES Committee member. Your feedback is welcomed and encouraged!
Together we can build a sense of "community" at St John’s. We are looking forward to serving our Savior and growing in Christ as He continues to reveal Himself through the people and events we have been so richly blessed with here at St. John’s.

Spirit Week: St. John's 2012 Spirit Week will be held from Monday, January 30th through Friday, February 3rd.
Dress-up themes for the week will be: Monday: Pajama Day Tuesday: Crazy Hair Day/Mix and Match clothes Wednesday: Dress up as your Favorite Character day Thursday: Favorite Sport Team Friday: Blue and White Day/St. John's spirit wear
An all-school Pep Rally will be held on Friday, February 3rd at 10:30 AM to help cheer the Boys' and Girls' Basketball A-teams on to a victory at their conference tournament held at Siloah.

CES meetings will normally be held during the school year on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 11:30 AM in the school conference room.
Meetings are open to every parent of a St. John's Lutheran School
student.
