Welcome to St. John's.
Join us for a walkthrough photo tour of our church and
learn a little more about the church. |
|
St.
John's was founded in Wauwatosa, WI in 1875 and our present church
building has been at its current location since 1888.
This church building reflects the love and devotion of those who
built it and all those who have cared for it to this day.
We love our church!
 |
When you enter St. John's for Sunday
worship, you will find a warm and inviting place - full of people glad
to be here and happy to have you as a guest.
Come on in! |
| This is our main gathering spot. It's technically called a narthex - but it's just the place
that friends gather before and after worship services. It's also our information hub.
On our bulletin boards, we find news about the many events
that are taking place in and around our church. |
 |
 |
This is our church library,
where we have a wealth of Christian material from books to tapes and
CD's, periodicals and more. We
encourage our people to make use of this resource by checking
out material for home or just relaxing with a good book in a
comfortable chair.
|
| In our lower level we have our
educational and fellowship areas. This
large room serves as a classroom for over 125 people on Sunday mornings. In addition, we have presentations, fellowship meals, and
other events and activities in what is known as "The Fellowship
Hall". |
 |
 |
These rooms are the other two education
/ meeting rooms. Sunday
Bible classes, as well as weekly classes, meetings, and rehearsals take
place in these much used rooms. |
| For
most of the year, we have a staffed nursery for infants and small
children during Sunday worship and Bible classes.
All children are welcome and encouraged to be with their parents
during worship services - but we have a nursery ready just in case. |
 |
|
|
Finally we come to the focal point of our Sunday worship
time - our Worship Sanctuary. Here
we join in praise, prayer, and worship of our great God. Our pastors preach the good news of salvation in Jesus
Christ. In Him we have
forgiveness of sins and life with Him forever.
It is this message of peace and joy that brings us together as
people of St. John's. It is
also the focus of our mission to you - our welcomed guest. |
Thank you for joining us on this little tour.
We are grateful to God for all the blessings that He has given us
in St. John's. One of His
greatest blessings are the people who call this place home.
We may have beautiful and impressive facilities, but our God
lives in the hearts of His people - making them His holy temples.
It is this presence within us that truly brings us together as a
family of God.
We hope that you will join us in person to
experience for yourself the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. It is this love and the love in the hearts of his people here
that truly makes… St. John's, Wauwatosa.
