ST. JOHN’S LUTHERAN GIRL PIONEERS PROGRAM

St. John’s Lutheran Girl Pioneers is a youth program for girls in grades 1-8 that focuses on five areas of Christian life.

	Education -- Activities center around citizenship, cooking, etiquette, first aid, homemaking, crafts, the outdoors, and more!
	Worship -- Girl Pioneers praise God together in prayer, devotion, and song.
	Fellowship -- Through fellowship, we learn to appreciate the work with God’s family. Being with other Christian girls is especially fun.
	Service -- The Lord has given us gifts to serve him. Service to others gives us an outlet to practice Christian values.
	Recreation -- Leaders recognize that recreation activities provide a learning experience, opportunity for leadership, and promotes cooperation and team work among the girls.

ST. JOHN’S LUTHERAN GIRL PIONEERS CARAVAN #33

St. John’s Lutheran Girl Pioneers are members of the national organization of Lutheran Girl Pioneers, a Christ-centered organization for girls of the Wisconsin Evangelical Synod (WELS) and the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS).

Lutheran Girl Pioneers encourages girls and leaders to do all things according to God's Word and out of love and respect for God. LGP offers opportunities for fellowship and encourages service to family, church and community. LGP strives to center all of its activities in the teachings of the Holy Bible. Our motto is "Loyal to Christ."

The Lutheran Girl Pioneer program's groups are based on grade level. They are:

Sunbeams - Grades 1 & 2

Traveler - Grades 3 & 4

Trailblazer - Grades 5 & 6

Homesteader - Grades 7 & 8

St. John’s LGP Council has prepared a fun and meaningful year for the girls of St. John’s. The national LGP charm program is used to provide a structure from which an interesting and varied program offers girls a wide range of positive opportunities as they explore and discover their gifts and talents.

SCHEDULE

Meetings are generally from 6:30-8:00 PM on the first and third Tuesday of each month during the school year. Girl Pioneers will meet at St. John’s School. We will begin each meeting with a group devotion in the Lecture Room on the lower level.

Occasionally meeting times may need to be adjusted. Leaders will notify parents of any changes in the meeting schedule including dates, times and additional planned activities. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s LGP leader.
