Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction – Toledo University Certificate of Management – Marquette University Business Theory and Organization – UW Whitewater   Goals and Philosophy: In ministry I will work to glorify God through service to His church as an effective and efficient minister of the Word by praising His Name, sharing His Word, and Leading His People. In education I will lead students to a positive faith-based relationship with Christ, I will teach them to organize information, memorize what they have organized, and communicate what they have memorized.   Vision for the Future: It is my hope to build the ministry at St. John’s to include childcare, preschool and an elementary school that serves the congregation and the community by attracting, strengthening and supporting Christian family life.

Mr. Michael George  (Grade 7, Family Minister)

Education: Bachelor of Science in Education - Dr. Martin Luther College. Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction – University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee   Goals and Philosophy: Family ministry is an ongoing ministry with the Word as the central element of the family.  The main task is for the members of the family to build stronger relationships to Christ, so that disciplining becomes a way of life.   Vision for the Future: Relationships within the family are fully dependent upon the strength of each member’s personal relationship with Christ.  That relationship, then, is central to the spiritual growth and well being of the Christian home.  In its relationship with his living Word the Christian family receives life-giving sustenance, as well as guidance and direction for living together as a family.  In Jesus’ own life and the Christian family has both their model for life and their motivation to live a God-pleasing life.

Mr. David Leyrer  (Grade 6, Director of Athletics)

Specialties: Mathematics & Coaching (soccer, basketball, track).   Goals and Philosophy:    To assist parents in carrying out their God-given responsibility by: training the children in the knowledge of their Savior Jesus Christ. sharing with them the comfort of God’s love and forgiveness. assuring them that they are children of God through faith in Christ. guiding them in their spiritual, academic, and physical development.   Vision for the Future:   To continue in and build upon current ministry. To improve the overall athletic program at St. John’s by: encouraging and motivating more students to participate in athletics. promoting Christian fellowship with other schools. making sure that all athletes are properly prepared with the necessary skills for the next level of competition. giving students more opportunity to use their physical abilities and athletic gifts (e.g. sports camps, intramurals, etc.). emphasizing the important skills of teamwork, dedication, commitment, discipline, and stewardship of healthy bodies.

Education: Bachelor’s of Science, Martin Luther College (New Ulm, MN)   Goals and Philosophy: To teach God’s children the Holy Scriptures that they may grow in their spiritual knowledge and their application of it in their social life. To guide the students in the use of English and composition skills that they may improve their ability to communicate through written work   Vision for the Future: My vision is that I may continue to serve God at St. John's by encouraging the students as they start to share their ideas and life experiences through writing.  I also hope to grow spiritually and professionally through classes, workshops, and conferences.  As I continue to work with the students I look forward to the lessons that they might teach me.

Martin Luther College-New Ulm, MN.   Goals and Philosophy: God's Word is the foundation for all we do here at St. John's.  I pray that both my students and I would demonstrate Christian love and concern for each other.  I encourage and promote enthusiasm and love for learning in an environment where all those involved in this learning process are cooperating and helping each other to do their best.   Vision for the Future: We already have a wonderful computer lab here at St. John's.  It is a wonderful blessing from God.  I view this blessing to be used to reinforce learning, supply additional learning, and to promote creativity.  I foresee expanding this lab with computer workstations in each classroom, all networked together.  Computers would supplement the education of our children, integrated into our existing curriculum, rather than used as an additional or separate course of study.

To further expand the extended learning program on both ends of the spectrum. To continue to “grow” my faith, so that I can better serve in “growing” the faith of the children I teach.

Specialized in early childhood education.   Goals and Philosophy: Christian early childhood programs are a joint ministry involving the congregation, the staff, the family, and the child.  Our goal is to lead all the children to grow in the saving faith in Jesus Christ and to be a witness of their Savior.   Vision for the Future: Reaching out to all families of St. John's and the surrounding community with childcare and education.

Education: Bachelor of Science degree from Dr. Martin Luther College Early Childhood I and II from MATC Various workshops and seminars dealing with Early Childhood   Goals and Philosophy: My hope and prayer is that I would continue to grow in my faith while encouraging the children to grow in theirs. Together we would share that faith in witnessing to others about our Savior. I hope to give the little ones an enjoyable start to their school experience and encourage a life long love of learning.   Vision: St. John's is truly blessed with an active Early Childhood ministry. I am looking forward to working with the dedicated staff in sharing the love of our Savior as well as sharing a love of learning.

	by nurturing our preschoolers in a Christ-centered environment where they are accepted and loved unconditionally, enabling them to develop socially and emotionally and grow in their faith.
	by providing them with a wealth of opportunities for discovery and experimentation to help them develop creatively and intellectually.
	by offering a wide variety of enjoyable and stimulating activities to promote physical development.

	that each child is a precious and unique creation, having unique characteristics, talents and interests.
	that active learning is fundamental to the full development of human potential.
	that active learning occurs most effectively in settings that provide developmentally appropriate learning opportunities.

My vision for the future is one of strong families that make Christian education a priority and thank God for this great blessing by serving others and reaching out with the Gospel.
