Council Project of the Month: Ukrainian Lutheran Mission

In 1991, the Ukrainian Lutheran Church (ULC) declared fellowship with WELS. The ULC continues to face challenges in a social climate where the majority of Ukrainians are heavily influenced by the Eastern Orthodox Church and traditions from Slavic mythology. In spite of these challenges, the ULC continues to work faithfully to proclaim the saving gospel and to be a voice for confessional Lutheranism in Ukraine. We’ll hear more about this 700-member, 17-congregation church body in our Mission Festival worship services on October 9 & 10. Click here to donate.

New Hymnal Purchases

The new hymnal will be arriving later this fall, and Christian Worship ’21 is intended to be more than “just” a book to be used for an hour on Sunday mornings. Prayers and devotional material, new and old hymns – all of this makes Christian Worship ’21 the perfect resource to add to your own shelves at home. Watch for more information on purchasing a hymnal directly from St. John’s and saving on the cost of shipping. Please also consider contributing to the Council Project of the Month to help defray the cost of new hymnals; click here to donate.
