Three Good Things That Will Happen in September

1. We will hold a congregational meeting on Tuesday, September 6. This meeting has two main purposes: 1) to share the results of this summer's capital campaign feasibility study and 2) to extend a call for a pastor of youth and outreach. All congregation members are invited to join us at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall or virtually at www.sjtosa.org/video for the open forum portion of the meeting.

2. We will hold our annual Unity Sunday worship service. This year, we're thankful to return to our traditional Unity Sunday format of a single worship service in our school gym. Please plan to join us on Sunday, September 11, at 9:00 a.m., and click here for more information from our Board of Elders.

3. We will take a new step into the digital world and kick off a sermon podcast. Our pastors preach beautiful law-and-gospel sermons every week, and we want to share them with you! Beginning with Unity Sunday, we'll be distributing each week's sermon as a podcast on Tuesday morning. Watch for more information and a link coming soon.

Three Good Things That Will Happen in June

1. We will kick off our summer sermon series. Beginning June 19, we will focus on the last 12 books of the Old Testament. We'll draw our sermons from the Bible Jesus read and consider what God continues to teach us through each of these little-known but important Minor Prophets.

2. We will hold our annual Voters' Meeting to approve the 2022-2023 ministry plan (budget). At this meeting on Tuesday, June 7, we will also extend a call for an outreach and youth ministry pastor. All members of St. John's are encouraged to attend this important meeting.

3. We will finish out our fiscal year and wrap up our current ministry plan (budget). As mentioned in last week's mailing, our June Council Project of the Month is "Finishing Gratefully": an effort to replenish the Undesignated Memorials fund. Please prayerfully consider contributing; click here to donate.
