Farewell Celebrations

Sundays, May 15 & 22
Please plan to join us on Sunday, May 15, after the 10:30 a.m. service for a reception and picnic lunch to say farewell to Mr. David Leyrer, who will be leaving St. John's at the end of the school year to teach at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School in Jackson, WI. Please also plan to join us on Sunday, May 22, after the 10:30 a.m. service for a cake and coffee reception saying farewell to Mrs. Renee Pastorek, who will be leaving St. John’s at the end of the school year to teach at Fox Valley Lutheran High School in Appleton, WI. Click here to RSVP for Mr. Leyrer’s reception by Sunday, May 8.

Three Good Things That Will Happen in May

1. We will celebrate the ministries of two of our teachers, Mr. Dave Leyrer and Mrs. Renee Pastorek, who will both be leaving us at the end of the school year. Please plan to join us on Sunday, May 15, for Mr. Leyrer's picnic lunch (click here to RSVP) and on Sunday, May 22, for Mrs. Pastorek's farewell reception. 

2. We will hold our annual Crusader Olympics on Wednesday, May 18 (with a rain date of Thursday, May 19). This event is always a fun day for our students, and many volunteers are needed in order to make Crusader Olympics a success! Click here if you're able to volunteer.

3. We will finish out the school year with our 8th grade graduation service on Wednesday, May 25, and last day of school on Thursday, March 26. Please keep our students and faculty members in your prayers as the school year winds down and everyone looks forward to a restful and relaxing summer break!

Sermon Study Growth Groups are making their return this spring! Three Good Things That Will Happen in April

1. We will celebrate Pastor Kyle Bitter's nine years of service to St. John's. Pastor Bitter will be leaving us at the end of April to begin his new call as a professor at Luther Preparatory School. Click here for more information on contributing to a congregational gift and registering for the April 24 luncheon.

2. We will hold a special voters' meeting and extend a call to replace Mr. Dave Leyrer, who will be leaving for Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School at the end of the school year. All congregation members are welcome to attend this special meeting on Tuesday, April 12, at 6:30 p.m.

3. Our 8th graders will demonstrate their knowledge in an examination service on Thursday, April 21, and will be confirmed on Saturday, April 23. Please keep these young people in your prayers as they publicly confess their faith and express their desire to remain faithful to their Lord.

Lent Worship Opportunities

Beginning Wednesday, March 2
Join us for our midweek Lent worship beginning on Ash Wednesday at 3:30 or 6:45 p.m. with a fellowship meal between services from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. On the menu for March 2 is ham and rolls, and March 9 is Mexican Fiesta night! Volunteer Appreciation Event

Sunday, February 20
Last chance to RSVP! All St. John’s volunteers are invited downtown to the Grace Center at Grace Lutheran Church for Volunteer Appreciation Night from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. If you volunteered at St. John’s in any way in 2020 or 2021, please plan to attend this evening of food, fellowship, and fun. Click here to RSVP by Monday, February 14.
