Grace Downtown - First Friday at Five

Friday, November 3 Grace Lutheran Church at 1209 N. Broadway Avenue invites you to this Lutheran Reformation inspired concert. Founded in the fall of 2013, Chant Claire is a Milwaukee choir dedicated to bringing challenging, high-quality choral music to singers and audiences in southeast Wisconsin. This 5:00 PM concert is centered on the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, specifically Luther’s legacy and influence in music, worship and culture. Selections will include Luther’s chorale texts and tunes, as well as several hymn arrangements. CDs of Chant Claire’s past concerts will be available for purchase. The concert is free to the public, but donations are welcome.

Wisconsin Lutheran College Luther Presentation

Thursday, November 9, 11:30 AM – In this presentation, Rev. Dr. Wade Johnston explores how Luther’s Reformation has contributed to a well-rounded society.  The cost is $15, which covers the cost of lunch and a donation to student scholarships at Wisconsin Lutheran College.  Click here for more information and to register online.

Advent by Candlelight Registration Now Open

Sunday, December 3 – Invite your female family members, friends, and neighbors for a Christ-centered preparation for the holiday season. This free event will be held in the school gymnasium beginning at 1:30 PM, and space is limited, so sign ip today! Reformation 500 Festival Service

Sunday, November 5 – One week from now is the District Reformation Festival Service, where we will hear God’s Word preached, special choirs singing, and thousands of fellow believers giving glory to our gracious God. Raising the Bar Men's Workshop

Saturday, November 4 – This St. John’s workshop meets in the Fellowship Hall from 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM. Its purpose is to encourage, empower and motivate men to live out God's view of manhood and be the best husbands, fathers, and leaders God has called them to be. Social Media Presentation

Monday, October 23 - Dr. Casey Holtz will provide parents with a model for decision making regarding media use during childhood and adolescence. This model includes current research and guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Holtz will inform parents about typical child and adolescent media use behavior in hopes of helping parents "speak the language" of technology and increasing awareness of the strengths and challenges that come along with modern day media use. Join us in the Fellowship Hall from 6:30-8:00 p.m for this special presentation.
