Advent Services

Midweek Advent services will be held at St. John’s on Wednesdays, November 30, December 7 and December 14 at 3:30 PM & 6:45 PM. Fellowship meals will be served between services. The menu for the meals are: Advent 1: Italian Night; Advent 2: All-American Night and Advent 3: One Dish Wonders. Assorted sides, soup & salad bar and dessert will be offered with each meal. There will also be cookie decorating and a craft corner for kids. On Wednesday, December 21, everyone is invited to attend a special Christmas concert featuring Koiné at 6:00 PM in the school gym.

Parents' Night Out

The teens of St. John's will provide a night of childcare on Saturday, December 17 from 5:00-9:00 PM. You may drop off your children and enjoy an evening out! A free will donation is appreciated and will go towards the annual teen mission trip in July. Please click here to register for planning purposes. Advent By Candlelight - Last Chance to Register!

Ladies, invite your female family members, friends, and neighbors for a Christ-centered preparation for the holiday season. This free event begins at 1:30 PM on Sunday, December 4 in the school gymnasium. Registration deadline is Sunday, November 27. School Christmas Decorating

Everyone is welcome to come help CES decorate the school for the Advent and Christmas season this Friday, November 18th. School parents and teens are especially encouraged to help. Teens may earn mission trip points by volunteering. Two shifts are available, 3:00-5:00 PM or 5:00-8:00 PM. To sign up online please follow these easy steps: 1. Game Night

Book Drive

The Breakfast Book Club at Wisconsin Lutheran College is holding a book drive for the Gingerbread House Gift Giving Program and local shelters. Gingerbread House is a seasonal organization that provides holiday support to families in need. Please drop off new or gently-used children’s books, fiction, history, best-sellers or any other books you’d like to contribute in the designated box in the narthex from now until Sunday, November 20. Change Clocks This Weekend

Remember to change your clocks for the end of Daylight Savings Time this Saturday evening. Clocks will change from 2:00 AM to 1:00 AM which means that there will be more daylight in the morning and less in the afternoon. Don't worry If you forget to change your clock (and don't have an atomic clock that changes itself), you won't miss church or Bible class, you'll actually be an hour early!

Volunteers Needed - November 12-13

ALL ABOARD…TRAINFEST 2016 - St. John’s will staff a concession stand November 12th and 13th from 8:00 AM-6:00 PM in the Exposition Center at State Fair Park. No previous training is required! If you are available to help for a full day, half day, or even for a couple of hours that would be greatly appreciated, we can use all the extra hands we can get! Family Night Out

Join our St. John’s family on Monday, November 7th from 5:00-8:00 PM at Chick-fil-A, 12625 W Capitol Dr in Brookfield for food and fellowship during our annual fundraiser for CES. 20% of the proceeds will be donated back to our school. Please be sure to place your receipt in the box at the end of the counter, this is the only way we will be able to track the proceeds. While you’re there, pick up a 2017 Cow Calendar for $7.00. The calendars have monthly specials making them worth more than the purchase price and 20% of the proceeds from calendar purchases will also be donated to St. John’s.
