Three Good Things That Will Happen in April

1. We will celebrate Pastor Kyle Bitter's nine years of service to St. John's. Pastor Bitter will be leaving us at the end of April to begin his new call as a professor at Luther Preparatory School. Click here for more information on contributing to a congregational gift and registering for the April 24 luncheon.

2. We will hold a special voters' meeting and extend a call to replace Mr. Dave Leyrer, who will be leaving for Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School at the end of the school year. All congregation members are welcome to attend this special meeting on Tuesday, April 12, at 6:30 p.m.

3. Our 8th graders will demonstrate their knowledge in an examination service on Thursday, April 21, and will be confirmed on Saturday, April 23. Please keep these young people in your prayers as they publicly confess their faith and express their desire to remain faithful to their Lord.

Two Good Things That Happened in March

1. Our A boys basketball team competed in the Lutheran National Basketball Tournament in Indiana. Although a record of 3-2 wasn't quite the way we hoped the weekend would turn out, the boys still had an incredible experience coming together as a team around basketball and God's Word.

2. We began using one of the new musical settings of The Service in our weekend worship services. After introducing the new canticles (liturgy songs) in February, our March 5 & 6 worship services fully rolled out this new musical setting. Moving forward, watch for this new setting the first weekend of each month.

Easter Canvassing

Saturday, April 2
Help us share the message of Jesus’ victory with neighbors as we hang flyers and knock on doors to invite them to our Easter festivities. We’ll meet at church at 9:45 a.m. to prep briefly, then head out for an hour of planting gospel seeds. Afterwards we’ll enjoy a lunch together back at church and share stories. No previous canvassing experience is required! Click here to e-mail Adam Goede if you plan to participate.
