Voters' Meeting

St. John’s will hold a Voters’ Meeting on Monday, May 9th at 6:30 PM to act on the recommendation by the Church Council to call a teacher for grades 1-2 beginning with the coming school year. If accepted, a call list will be presented and the voters will extend a call for this new position. All voters are encouraged to attend.

Friends in Fellowship

Enjoy a concert by St. John's Jr. Handbell Choir while learning about handbells as a musical instrument. Under the direction of Julie Handeland, the choir will be playing at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 3rd in the church. Church members and friends are invited to join us! Prior to the concert, Friends in Fellowship will meet at noon in the fellowship hall for lunch, fellowship, and a short meeting. Please bring a personal lunch. Dessert, coffee and tea will be served.

Share Your Faith Evangelism Day

Do you want to share your faith but need ideas and encouragement to do so? The WELS Southeastern Wisconsin District Commission on Evangelism will host an event on Saturday, April 30th at Wisconsin Lutheran High School to encourage and equip the members, lay leaders, and staff of our congregations for Christian witness. This half-day event will feature an inspiring keynote by Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary Professor Allen Sorum and various practical workshops on personal witnessing and congregational outreach. Lutheran Chorale Concert

You are invited to come and hear The Lutheran Chorale of Milwaukee, under the direction of Mary Prange, as they present their spring concert, All Praise to God on Sunday, April 24th at 2:00 PM at Atonement, Milwaukee and at 6:00 PM at Trinity, Waukesha. An organ prelude presented by St. John's organist, Lynn Kozlowski will begin 20 minutes prior to the concert. The concert will include music for choir, brass, strings, organ, and congregational singing.

Would you like to help present a warm and welcoming first impression of our church and school? St. John’s Board of Properties would like to update our campus landscape. Your help is needed to provide funds for plants and materials to carry out this project. Boy Pioneers Ice Cream Social - Monday, April 18

After a hiatus, Lutheran Boy Pioneers is back on track and will be returning to St. John's. We are calling all interested boys entering first through fourth grade next year and their fathers/male parental figures to come to our kickoff ice cream social on Monday, April 18th from 6:00-7:30 PM in the fellowship hall. Please let us know if you plan on attending by e-mailing Dan Peterson ( or Greg Lamas ( so we can buy enough ice cream. If you cannot attend, please let us know if your son is interested in participating and if you are willing to help out. We hope to spark some interest so our "train" can get out of the station in May and be full steam ahead for the 2016-17 school year!

Family Night Out
