Junior Handbell Concert

Thursday, May 2
Our 8th grade junior handbell choir will perform a concert featuring their year of music, and you’re invited! Pre-concert music begins at 7:10 p.m., and the concert follows at 7:30 p.m. All 7th graders interested in ringing next year (and any other future ringers) are encouraged to attend.

The Wizard of OZ

Friday, May 10 - School Musical
You’re invited as our 3rd - 5th grade students, together with Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre, present The Wizard of Oz. Performances are in the school gym at 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. Food trucks will be available from 4:45 – 6:15 p.m. in the school parking lot, and games for younger children will be in the school commons from 5:15 – 6:16 p.m. Please invite your friends and family to this free event!

By Scripture Alone Discussion Forum

We've made our way through the synoptic Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, and we'd love to discuss what we've read so far with you! Please join us for a By Scripture Alone discussion forum from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Questions or topics for consideration can be submitted to Pastor Schroeder in advance. In addition to the questions you submit, we'll be talking about the similarities and differences between these three Gospel accounts, looking ahead to the Gospel according to John, and continuing to marvel at the story of Jesus' life and ministry.  Hope to see you there! â€‹

Strategic Planning Listening Sessions

Beginning Saturday, May 4, at 6:30 p.m. in our Fellowship Hall We want to know! How can St. John’s better serve you? How can you better serve St. John’s? How can we best serve our Savior together as members of St. John’s?

Please attend a listening session to help our church and school create a strategic plan (mission and vision) for the next five years. We need your ideas on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges in the areas of worship, community, discipleship, service, and evangelism. Thursday Noontime Concert

Casavant's Golden Birthday
Thursday, April 25

St. John’s fine Casavant organ was dedicated 50 years ago. To celebrate, the seven organists on St. John’s music team will each play a portion of the this month’s Thursday Concert program. The audience will enjoy a wide variety of music which will show off this versatile instrument. Concerts are free and open to all. Invite your friends to share in this musical treat at 12:15 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Samaritan Partners - Special Guest Speaker

Bring a friend and join us in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30 p.m. as we welcome former Wisconsin Governor Martin Schreiber. Gov. Schreiber will share his experience with his wife and her Alzheimer’s disease as detailed in his book My Two Elaines.  Copies of his book will be available for purchase. Click here to contact Carol to RSVP or for more information. Bring your lunch (coffee/tea and dessert provided) and join us for fellowship at 12:00 p.m.  At 1:00 p.m. Sue Geise, dressed in Civil War costume, will tell the intriguing story.  All are welcome – we look forward to seeing you!

Got spring  fever?  Like working outside? If so, please consider joining the Rooting & Mowing team: a group of volunteers that takes care of the gardens and lawn at church and school. Our first garden tasks of the season will be pruning shrubs, cleaning up spent perennials, and cutting down grasses.  We will be working on Sunday, April 7 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., Saturday, April 13 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., and Saturday, April 27 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.  Meet in the church parking lot, bring your own tools (pruners, loppers, buckets, eye protection, gloves, garden scissors, etc.), and dress for the weather.  Click here to contact Kurt and Kelly Kramer with any questions.
