Three Good Things That Will Happen in May

1. We will celebrate the ministries of two of our teachers, Mr. Dave Leyrer and Mrs. Renee Pastorek, who will both be leaving us at the end of the school year. Please plan to join us on Sunday, May 15, for Mr. Leyrer's picnic lunch (click here to RSVP) and on Sunday, May 22, for Mrs. Pastorek's farewell reception.

2. We will hold our annual Crusader Olympics on Wednesday, May 18 (with a rain date of Thursday, May 19). This event is always a fun day for our students, and many volunteers are needed in order to make Crusader Olympics a success! Click here if you're able to volunteer.

3. We will finish out the school year with our 8th grade graduation service on Wednesday, May 25, and last day of school on Thursday, March 26. Please keep our students and faculty members in your prayers as the school year winds down and everyone looks forward to a restful and relaxing summer break!

Two Good Things That Happened in April

1. We kicked off a new Sunday morning Bible study. Through the end of June, Rev. Dr. John Lawrenz will be leading us in a look at the book of Daniel, and it's not too late to begin attending! Click here for class materials and video.

2. We celebrated our Savior's death and resurrection in our yearly Holy Week walk to the cross and the empty tomb. After the online-only services of 2020 and the capacity-restricted services of 2021, it was a wonderful blessing to gather together as a church family for Easter worship.

1. Our Ascension worship service (held on Thursday, May 26, at 6:45 p.m.) will again feature our traditional walk through the church year. In addition, we'll be singing a number of the new hymns from Christian Worship. Please plan to join us and dive a bit deeper into our new hymnal!

Confirmation Examination & Service

Thursday & Saturday,
April 21 & 23

Please join us as our 8th graders publicly profess their faith through the rite of Confirmation. Although confirmation comes at the end of two years of catechism classes, it should always be viewed as a beginning, not an ending – a beginning of participating in the Lord's Supper and becoming an adult member of the church. Examination of the confirmands will take place on Thursday at 6:45 p.m., and the confirmation worship service will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

New Bible Study

Beginning Sunday, April 24
In this course, Rev. Dr. John Lawrenz will lead us in a study of the book of Daniel. What is a believer to think when the world around turns hostile, even deadly? Why does it appear that worldly powers are winning and that God’s people are losing? Daniel’s life, dreams, and visions are part of God’s answer. The battle between those who are on God’s side and those who oppose him is long. The outcome, however, is sure: God wins, the forces of darkness lose, and Daniel’s longed-for Messiah is only “seventy sevens” away. Daniel is the prophet of hope that closes the Hebrew Old Testament. Click here for class video and materials.

Sunday school features age-appropriate lessons, activities, and crafts, and is a wonderful opportunity for your children to keep learning and growing in their faith. Students in 8th grade and high school are welcome to help with Sunday school or attend Bible study in the Fellowship Hall. Click here to contact Steve Wolf with any questions.
