Confirmation Examination & Service

Thursday & Saturday,
April 21 & 23

Please join us as our 8th graders publicly profess their faith through the rite of Confirmation. Although confirmation comes at the end of two years of catechism classes, it should always be viewed as a beginning, not an ending – a beginning of participating in the Lord's Supper and becoming an adult member of the church. Examination of the confirmands will take place on Thursday at 6:45 p.m., and the confirmation worship service will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

New Bible Study

Beginning Sunday, April 24
In this course, Rev. Dr. John Lawrenz will lead us in a study of the book of Daniel. What is a believer to think when the world around turns hostile, even deadly? Why does it appear that worldly powers are winning and that God’s people are losing? Daniel’s life, dreams, and visions are part of God’s answer. The battle between those who are on God’s side and those who oppose him is long. The outcome, however, is sure: God wins, the forces of darkness lose, and Daniel’s longed-for Messiah is only “seventy sevens” away. Daniel is the prophet of hope that closes the Hebrew Old Testament. Click here for class video and materials.

Sunday School Resumes

Sunday, April 24
Even though it’s almost May, it’s never too late in the year to attend Sunday school! Children in grades K3 – 7th are invited to join us from 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. at St. John’s School. Sunday school features age-appropriate lessons, activities, and crafts, and is a wonderful opportunity for your children to keep learning and growing in their faith. Students in 8th grade and high school are welcome to help with Sunday school or attend Bible study in the Fellowship Hall. Click here to contact Steve Wolf with any questions.
