Voters Meeting

Tuesday, June 5 –  A voters meeting regarding the proposed annual ministry plan (budget) will be held at 6:30 pm. Included in the meeting will be a report from the Long Range Planning Committee. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Military Fellowship Group

Wednesday, May 30 – All St. John’s members who are military veterans or currently serving in active duty, as well as their family members, are invited to attend an informational meeting at 6:00 pm in the St. Matthew’s room. The purpose of this meeting is to bring together fellow church members who are united both through the bond of faith and the military experience, and to determine further interest in establishing an ongoing Christ-centered military fellowship and spiritual support group here at St. John’s. Pizza and refreshments will be provided. For planning purposes, please register by May 28. Questions may be directed to Jason Baltutis or 414.940.1895.

Food Pantry

June 2-3 Weekend – Do you want to donate to our monthly food pantry collection, but don't know what to purchase? Christ Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, prepares bags with the following: a box each of dry cereal, instant potatoes, rice, and pasta; two cans each of vegetables, fruit and soup, a can of tuna or stew and two boxes of Jell-O/pudding. Please bring your donations to the narthex. Thank you for helping those in need.

Summer Bible Studies & Sunday School

Sundays, beginning June 3 - Bible Study continues through summer! After a weekend off for Memorial Day, our summer Bible Studies and summer Sunday School begin. More information on specific offerings is coming in future weeks; but for now, plan on joining us for adult Bible Studies in the Fellowship Hall and summer Sunday School (Pre-K through 6th grade meets each week in the school commons) at 9:15 am. Teens are encouraged to attend adult studies or assist with the younger children in the nursery or at Sunday School.

Church Security Presentation

Monday, May 21 – Officer Daniel Kane of the Wauwatosa Police Department will be presenting on the topic of church security in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30 pm. Everyone is welcome; however, church ushers and greeters are strongly encouraged to attend. Following the presentation, the ushers will remain for a brief discussion on how additional security measures may be implemented.

"Crusader Olympics" Volunteers Needed

Wednesday, May 16 St. John’s School Olympics will take place at Wisconsin Lutheran High School beginning at 8:15 am. For this day to be successful and run smoothly, extra help with chaperoning, timing, recording, measuring and scoring is needed. "Reeds and Valves"

Thursday, May 17 – Enjoy this Third Thursday program of solos and duets for oboe and French horn by Mike and Suzanne Swenson. Lynn Kozlowski will accompany them on the new Steinway piano as well as contribute solo works by Bach, Chopin and Tchaikovsky. Everyone is cordially invited to attend the 99th concert in this noontime series at 12:15 pm.

Mother-Son Game Night

Friday, May 11 – All boys K3 - grade 8 and their moms are invited for an evening of pizza and popcorn, cards and board games, Kahoot! Basketball, Lego challenges, Minute to Win It games, scooter games, as well as yard games and kickball (weather permitting) from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The cost is $5 per family (son and one special maternal figure). Checks should be made payable to St. John's. Sign up sheets are available in the church narthex and at school. Please register by May 7.
