Weekend Events Update

This weekend, we had the opportunity to see God's protecting hand and divine timing at work. On Sunday, we had a fire in an electrical box. It occurred between the church services and was quickly discovered by our ushers. The building was evacuated and the fire department responded and secured the area. The fire was contained to the electrical box and did not spread further in the walls. There is no structural damage and no one was injured. The area is being assessed by the insurance company and cleanup of the chemicals from the fire extinguishers will begin as soon as possible. We are hoping to have services in church as usual on Sunday. Check back this week for further updates. Thank you for your prayers!

Summer Volunteers Needed

Does the thought of spending a few hours outdoors on a Saturday morning make you smile? St. John’s Board of Outreach is looking for volunteers who would be willing to staff a table on Saturday mornings during the Wauwatosa farmers market from 8:00-11:00 AM (the market is open from 8:00 AM to noon). This is a great outreach opportunity to hand out church and school information to those using our parking lot. Our goal is to staff one weekend a month between June and September. If you're interested please click here to email Brian Graf to sign-up or for more information.
