Welcome Back Dessert Reception

Save the date! Everyone is invited to a Welcome Back Dessert Reception in the fellowship hall following the late service on Sunday, August 21st. Cake, pastries, coffee, milk & juice will be provided. If you are able to donate a baked treat, we would appreciate your help! A sign-up sheet will be at school registration or click here to list your donation. Treats may be dropped off in the church kitchen on Saturday evening or Sunday morning. Tosa Night Out

Come to the Milwaukee County Zoo from 4:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 3rd for this year's "Tosa Night Out." Click here to register online or for more information. Registration includes zoo admission, parking, safety displays, t-shirts and many zoo attractions. Stop by St. John’s table to say “hi” to our volunteers and pick up some promotional items.

Jr Vikings Baseball Tryouts

Do you love to play baseball? Are you looking to take your baseball skills to the next level? Do you want to make lasting Christian friendships? The Jr. Vikings baseball team is looking for boys ages 8-12 years old to join the 2017 team. Tryouts will be held on Sunday, July 31st at McCarty Park (grades 2-3 from 1:00-2:30 PM; grades 4-5 from 2:30-4:00 PM and grade 6 from 4:00-5:00 PM). Wisconsin State Fair Outreach

The Point of Grace Campus Ministry

Please join The Point of Grace, Milwaukee Area Campus Ministry, for our annual voter’s meeting on Saturday, July 16th. A cookout will begin at noon. Meet informally with our staff and members of our Board of Directors. The Annual Meeting will start at 1:00 PM. Our Annual Report will be shared with those present, our campus ministry in the Milwaukee area will be discussed, and we will elect several new men to serve on our Board of Directors. We are always looking for WELS men who have a heart for campus ministry to serve on our Board. July Council Project

St. John's Church Council has chosen Camp Phillip for the July project. Camp Phillip provides relaxation in creation and renewal in Christ to WELS youth, adults, families, churches & schools throughout the year. Since St. John's is a member of Camp Phillip, St. John's members get a 10% discount on programs. More information about this project can be found on the narthex bulletin board. To contribute, please use your green Above & Beyond envelope and make checks payable to St. John's.

WELS Night at Miller Park

There's still time to sign up! Join members of WELS churches from around the area on Friday, July 29th for a fun night out filled with fellowship and baseball at Miller Park! Last year, more than 3,500 WELS members attended the game. For the second year in a row, Brian Davison, lead singer of Koiné will sing the National Anthem. Get a free t-shirt and enjoy the Brewers/Pirates game beginning at 7:10 PM. A sign-up sheet is available in the narthex or click here to sign-up online. Tickets are $9 per person.
