September Food Pantry

Due to the Labor Day holiday being the first weekend in September, we will collect your food donations on September 11th, Unity Sunday.  Bring your non-perishable food items to the school building and place them in big box marked "Food Pantry" in the main hallway. Thank you for caring for your neighbors in need.

Soles for Jesus

Did your children outgrow their shoes this summer? Are you cleaning out your closets this fall? Your donated shoes will change lives in Africa! Having a good pair of shoes reduces infections, increases school attendance and promotes a better quality of life. We will be collecting shoes for Soles for Jesus (Milwaukee based non-profit) during October in the church narthex and at school. Luther Days

Save the date! Shoreland Lutheran High School in Somers, WI will host the largest Lutheran Festival in North America on Saturday, September 17th from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Luther Days is a family event that has something for everyone including: 100 workshops, 75 WELS/ELS presenters, 50+ WELS/ELS organizations, Guinness World Record Attempt, Liturgical Art contest, kid’s activities, German food, lots of Lutheran shopping and much more! TosaFest Run/Walk

Come enjoy fellowship and fun with other St. John’s members at the TosaFest 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, September 10th. Because of the road construction on State Street, this year's race will start at 5:30 PM at Tosa East and finish at TosaFest along the west side of the river in the village (down the hill from St. John's). Spirit Wear Sale

Want to show your St. John's spirit? The St. John's Spirit Wear Sale is up and running through On Time Tees. This sale is for all members and friends of St. John's school and congregation. Click here to order your gear online. The sale will end on Saturday, September 3rd and items will be delivered to school within 2-3 weeks after the close of the sale. Lutheran Pioneers

Lutheran Pioneers for boys in grades 1-4 is back at St. John's! We have a lot of great activities planned for the year including building and shooting model rockets, geocaching, sledding, building and racing pinewood cars, camping and more! To register for the 2016-17 school year, click here. Sunday School Registration

A new year of Sunday school will begin on Sunday, September 18th at 9:15 AM. Parents, please register your child(ren) ages 3 through grade 7 by clicking here so that enough materials can be ordered for the classes. Sunday school will meet in the school classrooms. Also beginning on September 18th will be the Teen Ministry Group in the school conference room for students in grades 8-11 and Adult Bible studies "The Hard Sayings of Jesus" in the church fellowship hall and "Forgiveness and Addiction" in the school lecture room.

Library Book Repair

St John’s school library needs help repairing books. If you have 45 minutes to an hour next Wednesday or Friday, August 17th or 19th from 9:00-10:30 AM, please consider coming to the school to help tape and repair books that the school’s students check out during the school year. You can stay for as long or short as fits in your schedule. Keep reading for more information...

If you have children, they are welcome as long as you are comfortable with them playing/reading in the library as you are working on repairs. CES Directories

St. John’s CES will be putting together a new service directory and babysitter directory this fall for church and school members and families. The service directory will be a resource that our members can use if they are ever in need of one of the services listed. The new Babysitter Directory will include middle school, high school and college age students who are willing to babysit/watch our children.
