"My wife and I went through the FPU course and found it to be extremely entertaining, informative, and thought provoking. The common sense strategies discussed in the course allowed us to become more unified in our financial approach to life. Together, our financial planning and budgeting discussions are substantive, productive, and straightforward - devoid of any tension or unnecessary conflict. Since going through the course we have managed to pay off one student loan debt, purchase our first home, and pay off both vehicles. We are both in our early 30s, and have positioned ourselves towards a debt-free life. We currently have only two debts remaining to our names: a student loan (expected to be paid off sooner than later) and our mortgage. It was incredibly liberating to decline financing for our new living room furniture and simply pay in full! Whether you are overwhelmed in debt or not, FPU allows you to create a plan to address it, plus give back. This is very achievable when you discipline yourself to follow a plan. Pamela and I recommend the course to anyone; especially young couples and teens who are just starting out in life."   MS/PS

"Financial Peace University was a life changer for my wife Deb and me. We both have looked at each other several times during and after the FPU class and said “wish we would have done this when we were twenty years old.” Not only did this class bring us more in line with how the other person thinks about our financial partnership in our marriage, but it also stressed God’s love and gifts he showers on us consistently and suggests different ways we can be good stewards of those gifts. This class also put the subject of money out in the open for discussion and made it easier for us to pass the information onto our children. After this class we now have a plan going forward as to what to do with our treasures the Lord has entrusted to us and we have become better at giving and living."   DP/DP

"After attending the 9 week Financial Peace University course, we highly recommend it to anyone interested in evaluating their financial situation, regardless of age or marital status. Dave Ramsey's Christian based approach is both entertaining and thought provoking. We enjoyed the fellowship and group discussions. As a family, we now take a positive approach on how we handle our money, always knowing that it is a gift from God. Our "take away" from the course is that we now incorporate good practice on budgeting, savings and giving. We will definitely have our daughters read the FPU book, and we would like to see the course incorporated into St. John's teen ministry program"  JM/SM
