Reformation Celebration

You are invited to St. John's on Sunday, October 30th at 3:30 PM for a special celebration of the Lutheran Reformation with your brothers and sisters from local congregations of the Milwaukee Metro Conference. This festival service will feature an uplifting message from God’s Word accompanied by special choral and instrumental music. A joint potluck will follow the service. If you’d like to participate in the festival adult choir or children’s choir, and would like more information, please click here to contact Dr. William Braun, St. John's Adult Choir Director.

Downsizing - It's Not Just Stuff!

Join us tonight at 6:30 PM for “Downsizing – It’s not just stuff.” Adele Lund, Director of Community and Business Relations for Laureate Group will explore how we “think” about our belongings, and consider how to move from a “having to get rid of” mind set to a “paying it forward” one. Fall Festival Volunteers Needed

St. John’s Fall Family Festival, hosted by CES will be held on Sunday, October 9th from 1:00-4:00 PM. This year’s theme is Germanfest. There is sure to be lots of gemütlichkeit! To make this happen, we need you! This event could not run without our wonderful parent and teen volunteers. Please consider donating an hour or two to run a game, help with a craft, work in the kitchen, or help decorate and clean-up. WLHS National Honor Society

Congratulations to Madelin Ginster (former St. John's school student) and St. John's members Joshua Schneider, Zachary Kopplin and Brianna Greenfield on being awarded membership into the National Honor Society (NHS) at Wisconsin Lutheran High School. They were among forty-one members of the class of 2017 who were inducted into the school's chapter of NHS on Monday, September 19th. The National Honor Society is a nationwide organization for high school students. Membership into the WLHS chapter of NHS requires a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 after six semesters and a demonstrated record of participation in school activities, service to others, and character.

New Classes Begin This Sunday!

Are you looking for a chance to spend more time in God's Word? On Sunday, September 18th, new Bible classes and a new Bible information class will begin. Youth Ministry and Sunday school will also resume for children ages 3+. New Women's Bible Study

St. John’s new women’s bi-weekly bible study will begin this Wednesday, September 14th at 7:00 PM, We will meet in the St. Matthew’s Room on the lower level of church. This will be a self-led bible study group and we will begin with the book "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World" by Joanna Weaver. Third Thursday Concert

The 2016-17 season of Third Thursday Concerts at St. John’s will begin on September 15th at 12:15 PM. Join us for Joyful Songs, a program of happy and uplifting organ music played by Lynn Kozlowski. Concerts are free and last about 45 minutes. Each concert includes program notes with interesting facts and stories about the music being played. Programs are designed to be enjoyed by listeners of all ages and music experiences and all are welcome. We look forward to seeing you!

Service of Thanksgiving and Praise

Wisconsin Lutheran High School will hold a special service of praise and thanksgiving at Grace, downtown on Sunday, September 11th beginning at 4:00 PM to celebrate anniversaries in the teaching ministry and install new faculty and staff. The celebrant of 25 years in the teaching ministry is: Mr. Andre Gosch. Those celebrating 40 years in the teaching ministry are: Mr. Mark RickeMr. Kurt Seeger and Mr. Gil Tatge. The members of the called faculty to be installed are: Mrs. Olya Elertson, Faculty; Mr. Kevin Festerling, School Developer; Mrs. Amy Goede, Faculty; Pastor Phil Huebner, Campus Pastor; Mr. Peter Iles, Director of Instructional Technology; Mrs. Kathryn Luebke, Faculty; Mrs. Kristine Metzger, Executive Director of the WLHS Foundation. Everyone is invited to attend this special celebration and reception.
