Blood Drive

Tuesday, September 18One in three people relies on a blood transfusion at some point in their life. St.John's Military Fellowship Group

Wednesday, September 26 – St. John’s members who are military veterans or currently serving in active duty, as well as their family members, are invited to attend the St. John's Military Veterans Fellowship Group at 6:00 p.m. in the St. Matthew’s Room. The purpose of this meeting is to bring together fellow church members who are united both through the bond of faith and the military experience. 125th Anniversary of the Apache Mission Field

Council Project of the Month – The WELS’ Apache Mission in Arizona is celebrating 125 years of God’s blessings as the first world mission of WELS (established before Arizona was a state). Between two reservations there are eight churches, one preaching station, and two Lutheran elementary schools. The Apache Lutheran churches are enthusiastically training leaders for work as evangelists, teachers, and pastors through the Apache Christian Training School. God has provided an opportunity in that 95 percent of Native Americans are not Christians, so the Apache Lutherans are planning on reaching out with the gospel even to other tribes! Third Thursday Noontime Concert

Thursday, September 20 – “How Can I Keep from Singing?” Enjoy a concert featuring preludes on familiar hymns about singing God’s praises. Lynn Kozlowski is the organist. Come and bring your friends to the free concert which begins at 12:15 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
