HEADS UP FOR TOMORROW, SCHOOL CLOSING IS POSSIBLE!
If Milwaukee Public cancels school, WISCO closes and so do we. That process did not work yesterday, the extreme temperatures predicted for tomorrow may again result in school closings. It is MPS and WISCO that we follow, not Wauwatosa Public, but the plowing of Dewey Hill is affected by Tosa school closing. When MPS did not cancel yesterday each system had to make their own decision and then notify the parents and media so the decision was later than usual. I know this caused difficulty, so I want to apologize and clarify the process. Usually, the process is initiated by MPS as they control the buses. We usually wait for WLHS as those students are the caretakers for younger students in the elementary school as parents go to work.
Thank you to those parents who met with the classroom teachers for this round of Parent-Teacher conferences. If your conference was schedule for Wednesday, we will contact you to reschedule.
We will continue to offer a K4 Extension program for next year. Students in the three-day or five-day K4 program can extend into the afternoon, as in the Tosa public school “K4 wraparound” program. Our program will be taught by elementary teachers from our school. For more information please call.
If you are a member of Grace, please help us make sure we get information to all your church families. We rely on word-of-mouth to help assure we contact all who are interested. Preschool Open House flyers can be found in the Childcare Room and on the table outside the school office. Spread the word !
Tax information for this year, tuition and church contributions, will be mailed out by the end of the month UPON REQUEST. Please direct questions to Mrs. Kieselhorst in the church office. You can pay school tuition with money that is tax free! Talk to your tax advisor.
Tuesday night our congregation called Mr. Paul Frisque to teach 5th grade next year. He currently teaches at St. Jacobi in Milwaukee. He has 16 years teaching experience. He is married with one child. His wife currently teaches at Christ the Lord in Brookfield. Please keep him in your prayers.
Stay Warm,
~Mr. Uecker~
