December 2018

"Let's Get Ready to Hear Good News!" is one of our favorite songs this month. An angel told Mary that she would be the mother of God's Son, our Savior. We decorated our classroom to get ready for Jesus' birthday. This month in our discovery table, we had Christmas cards and scissors so we could learn how to cut paper. We pretended we were making cookies with Playdoh and Christmas cookie cutters. Our shape for December, the star, reminded us how God sent a special star to lead the Wise men to baby Jesus.

January 2019

This month, it's all about winter! We're making snowmen and snowflakes. In additon to this, we are also reading books about winter fun and what animals do in winter. He was baptized by John in the Jordan River and chose new friends to be His disciples. We will practice our sewing with yarn and paper mittens for the letter Mm.

We all had a Happy New Year!
